ANNUAL FAMILY BASEBALL TAILGATE PARTY
Saturday, April 6, 2013, 1:00 pm
Michigan State University vs. University of Michigan
Ray L. Fisher Stadium, 4:00 pm
Baseball fans of all ages are invited to join the MSU Alumni Club of Washtenaw County for the Annual Family Baseball Tailgate Party! The party will be held immediately before the baseball game between the Spartans and the Wolverines here in Ann Arbor. Club members and their friends and families will gather in the parking area north of Ray L. Fisher Stadium, just west of South State Street and Yost Ice Arena. Look for the large green “block S” flag which will be flying. We anticipate a visit from Michigan State's head baseball coach, Jake Boss before the game!
The Club is donating hot dogs and bratwurst, and soft drinks. Skilled grill chefs will prepare these to your specifications, and garnish them with chili or sauerkraut.
There is no admission charge for the tailgate party, but we ask that you bring a dish to pass such as beans, salads, fresh fruit, raw veggies, deviled eggs, chips & dip, cookies or other desserts. The only limit is your imagination! As an alternative to soft drinks, bring your own beverages.
Bring any other items you might enjoy at tailgate parties, such as baseball gloves and balls, plastic kiddie whiffle balls and bats, footballs, etc. As April weather is quite unpredictable, prepare for summer and winter conditions, including hats, shades, sunscreen, shorts, raincoats, long johns, ear muffs and gloves.
Contact Mark Young at (734) 355-1656 or at markyoung@comcast.net and let him know the size of your group. Come out for a spring afternoon of Spartan fellowship, and root the Green & White on to victory. Hope to see you there!
